MASSIV Automated Systems, an advanced technology-based division of Magna International Inc., specializes in the design and build of automated/robotic assembly lines for the automotive industry. Our areas of expertise include hemming (robotic and table top), laser welding, and assembly line welding. Our customers include other divisions within Magna and the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as General Motors, Chrysler and Ford.
We are a true global supplier to the automotive industry! Our assembly lines provide a diverse range of automotive products such as doors, hoods, liftgates and underbody parts to customers in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Asia and Europe.
The Business Analyst is responsible for tracking ECN costs, creating job numbers, invoicing & performing month-end/year-end duties.
• Invoice jobs at quoted schedules and follow up with customers on outstanding invoices.
• Issue job numbers and assign numbers to engineering changes.
• Track contract costs for each job number, such as customer purchase orders and ECN’s (Engineering Changes).
• Update job costing system and issue reports.
• Process engineering changes for invoicing.
• Liaise with Project Managers regarding engineering change cost related issues.
• Create and update ECN Summary Matrix per project.
• Update weekly job hours report for managers.
• Send monthly invoicing schedule to General Motors for all future invoicing.
• Perform month-end/ year-end duties such as various accruals and reconciliations.
• Play an active role in supporting finance.
• Play an active role in supporting sales and estimating, ensuring that the forecasting is realistic using past performance as an indicator of future performance.
• Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner.
• Consult your Manager if you are not 100% sure how to perform tasks in a safe manner
• Follow all safety rules, standards, and procedures at all times in all areas.
• Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products.
• Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements.
• Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world class quality products are supplied to our customers.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting
• Previous accounting/sales experience, an asset
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Experience using Visual Manufacturing System would be an asset
• Ability to work as a team member and individually
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills required
Office and shop floor environment
Overtime hours may be required especially during month end & year end
Day/overnight and/or extended travel required to customers sites
