Senior Financial Analyst

An exciting opportunity exists to join as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Wireless Service Revenue team.

This position will be responsible for data extracting, mining and reporting service revenue /usage KPIs and be able to be as story teller.

Candidates will work very closely with various teams to provide value-added analysis on Wireless Revenue.

The Sr.

Financial Analyst will be based in Toronto and will provide expert data management to Wireless Service Finance.

What you’ll do:
– Use advanced analytics tools (SAS, SQL) and methodologies to analyze data from different sources and provide key insights on tight schedules often within an ambiguous environment
– Design and perform weekly and monthly financial score cards visually (Tableau) for wireless service revenue, including insights of key drivers
– Provide standard reporting support, which includes the ability to extract and analyze large and complex data sets from various source systems and data stores by performing coding and system parameter setting
– Responsible for writing queries, filtering and transforming data into meaningful reports for Financial analysis and Pricing, Commercial strategy and Sales teams.

– Process and analyze data to support business case analysis and ad-hoc requests.

Define data requirements and ensure accuracy of data pulls
– Perform ad-hoc queries and develop / automate financial / statistical models using a variety of software applications (Excel, MS Access, SAS/SQL,Python, Tableau); provide recommendations and insights
– Investigate and help resolve possible data corruption and discrepancies
– Liaise with IT to understand best sources of data and tables
– Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required What you’ll bring:
– University degree in Computer science, Mathematics or related field.

– 3 years experience dealing with data analytics and business intelligence, preferably in the telecommunications industry
– 3 years programming skills with advanced knowledge of SAS, SQL, data mining software
– 3 years experience in BI tools such as Tableau.

– The ability to construct datasets, ensure data quality and perform quantitative / basic statistical analysis.

– Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

– Experience in programming language such as Python /R is an asset.

– Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong ability to learn new software.

– Excellent organization and time management skills to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities.

– Team player with ability to collaborate in cross functional teams and build trust As a condition of hire, all new employees will be required to provide proof of vaccinations against COVID 19.
