ABOUT THE POSITION

This individual will work independently and with the Landscaper. Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)….

• Operating basic hand tools such as shovels, rakes
• Planting and maintaining shrubs/trees
• Trail maintenance and invasive species removal
• Installing and maintaining gardens/landscaping, weeding bark mulch, watering, planting beds and planter pots
• Garbage removal, weed pullling, raking, pruning, and shrub trimming
• Lawn cuttiing, edging, fertiilizing and aerating
• Maintaining a professional appearance and dealing with the public in a courteous and respectful manner at all times
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all policies and procedures
• Have strong communication and listening skills, specifically the ability to convey information effectively with supervisor

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s License is asset
• Ability to work unsupervised in a safe and productive manner
• Landscape/Horticultural knowledge and invasive species knowledge is considered an asset
• Must have the ability to work within extreme outdoor hot and cool temperatures
• Must have uninhibited ability to lift heavy materials, squat, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods of time repeatedly
• Must be reliable, punctual, have a positive attitude and communicate well with others
• 1+ years of experience in professional lawn maintenance or landscaping
• Ability to operate gas and electric equipment and tools
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work diligently, independently with assigned time and instructions
• Strong organizational abilities and ability to handle multiple tasks and with importance

COMPENSATION

• $18.00 +4%
