Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together – offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager is responsible for project management of Alternate Work Requests (AWRs) and acts as the back up to the Account Director.Responsible for managing day to day operations, including scheduling and budget management; compilingprogress and cost information; working with the DCC/DND and consultant representatives; procurement andcoordinating work of and recruitment of subcontractors and Dexterra own forces to oversee site operatives;monitoring job progress; change order management, recognizing potential claims and taking timely action; andreviewing safety and quality control procedures.THINGS YOU ARE GREAT AT:Provide support to the Account Director regarding all Facility related issues including coordination of projectpaperwork, tendering coordination and support, purchase orders, contract change orders, contract and shopdrawing distribution and subcontract documentation.Daily project site management across the province in conjunction with Account Director.Ensure sites are run safely with emergency and OH&S plans, notice of projects, utility locates, WSIB, trafficplans etc.Maintain Anticipated Cost Issue (ACI) files
– distribution of change notices, verification of pricing andsubmission of costs for approval.Track RFI submissions and responses for clarity, completeness and timeliness.Assure that all drawings are current drawings and specifications are used for the duration of the project.Assist in project leadership, scheduling and expediting materials and sub trades on projects up to $600,000 in valueSuccessfully oversee special projects management with accumulated value averaging up to $3,000,000 annuallyMonitor and provide feedback on sub trade performanceLiaise with consultants and subcontractors regarding Change Order pricing and paperwork flow.

Prepares deficiency list and monitors corrections.

Assists in the coordination of deficiency corrections.Prepares correspondence and summary project documentation for DCC Clients and/or Contract Representative.Accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing as required on a project basis.Provide support for Defence Construction Canada and Department of National Defence Contract Representatives.Other executive and administrative duties as required.Other special duties as assigned in support of Dexterra business plans.QualificationsPost-Secondary education in Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management or related experienceIn possession of, or capable of acquiring Security Clearance at National Defence SitesScheduling & Planning, estimating projects and facilities operationsAbility to read Blueprints & specifications a must.Minimum 3-5 years of relative senior level work experienceExperience with commercial buildings, HVAC, mechanical is an assetWell-developed oral and written communication skillsStrong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS softwareAbility to work as a team playerAbility to work independentlyAbility to work flexible hours and possibly weekendsStrong interpersonal skills are requiredAdditional InformationDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
