Director Clinical Support and Ambulatory Care Services Position posting number: 2111212 Rate of Pay: Reference Non-Union Schedule: Full Time Assignment Location: Walkerton, Kincardine, Durham, and Chesley South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC) is currently seeking applications for one Full Time Director, Clinical Support and Ambulatory Care Services to join our team.

This newly created position has been developed to better meet the needs of the patient care services which are delivered across the 4 sites of SBGHC in the communities of Kincardine, Walkerton, Durham and Chesley.

This position will work closely with the Director, Clinical Services / Chief Nursing Executive (CNE), another newly created position which is being posted concurrently.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director, Clinical Support and Ambulatory Care Services has responsibilities for Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiorespiratory, Laboratories, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Ambulatory Care, Patient Registration, Health Records and Privacy for all four sites of the SBGHC.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director, Clinical Support and Ambulatory Care Services should be an engaged, compassionate, results-oriented leader with a track record of building successful teams and partnerships, who can work closely with a passionate hospital team to deliver high-quality care and outstanding patient experiences.

The Director, Clinical Support and Ambulatory Care Services will: Champion our values; Embody and embed a culture of engagement, support, authenticity, and accountability; Provide leadership and direction to a team of patient care and clinical managers on day-to-day operating issues across all four sites of SBGHC, while maintaining a clear focus on strategic initiatives; Earn the respect and trust of internal and external stakeholders through effective collaboration and communication; Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities; Participate in regional networks and committees; Provide leadership insight in the development of the Grey Bruce Ontario Health Team (OHT).

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Regulated Health Professional with a graduate degree in a relevant field including Health Administration and Management; Regulated Health Professional in Ontario in good standing with their respective college; Minimum ten (10) years of healthcare experience in diverse and progressively responsible positions in an acute care hospital setting; Minimum five (5) years of experience in a formal leadership role, including experience as a Clinical Manager preferred; Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience as a collaborator and team-builder; Demonstrated success and experience in health system planning, organizational leadership, management, labour relations, financial management, and communications; A visible and compassionate leader who listens, consults, collaborates and is able to coach and mentor others; Proven track-record of conceptualizing and operationalizing innovative ideas; A leadership style that inspires excellence, innovation and interdisciplinary teamwork; A demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing education; Experience in a multi-site organization would be an asset.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre is a four-site, 66-bed hospital located in mid-western Ontario with locations in Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham.

We serve a community of 44,000 people, plus 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across our catchment area.

Two hours from Toronto and London, and 90 minutes from Kitchener-Waterloo, all of our sites offer 24/7-hour emergency care (with the exception of Chesley which is currently on reduced hours).

Other services include acute, medical, obstetrical (450 births at the RJ Creighton Family Birthing Centre), surgical and a full range of diagnostic and ambulatory care services.

SBGHC is complemented by four strong, vibrant and supportive Foundations, as well as an engaged Patient and Family Advisory Council.
