Our 60+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified Medical Office Administrators, Medical Assistants, Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, Optometrists, Opticians, Optical Assistants, Chiropodists and Clinical Research Professionals.
Currently, our growing team is looking for an Optician or an experienced Optical Dispenser who can work with us on a permanent full-time basis at our LMC Brampton Optometry location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and approach customers, deliver outstanding customer service
- Help customers find the best and most suitable products that meet their needs
- Take measurements, fit, adjust, repair & dispense eyeglasses, contact lenses and specialty eyewear
- Order and receive product, manage inventory and assist in buying strategy
- Conduct pretest procedures on patients to help make eye appointments more efficient
- Work in partnership with Optometrist to serve the needs of your clients
- Work in collaboration with your team members to maximize store profits
- Skilled sales person able to meet and exceed optical sales targets
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an optical environment and customer service role
- Optician License in Ontario and in good standing with the governing college OR
- Minimum 5 years experience working in an optical store as a dispenser
- Strong organization and time management skills in a retail environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, excellent conflict resolution
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills, flexible and adaptable
- Proficiency in use of computers
- Knowledgeable of various lenses on the market and their technology
- Embrace individuality by being honest and helping people find their look
- Ability to take initiative with projects and ideas for marketing, efficiency and process improvements to help grow the business
- Effective sales skill required, motivated to assist patients find the best eyewear solutions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexible to work, days, evenings, and weekends
- Most importantly have an eager and positive personality
