**THIS ROLE CAN BE LOCATED IN EITHER QUEBEC OR ONTARIO**

As the lead facilitator of our enterprise Leadership Development offerings, this role is responsible for the facilitation of workshops at all levels of the organization. This position will use best-practice instructional design techniques and adult learning principles to deliver both on-site and virtual learning. The facilitator will ensure that they create an environment that is conducive to learning and that learners are engaged in the learning process. They will optimize opportunities for learners to interact with other participants and practice skills that they learn during the session. The facilitator will ensure that the defined learning objective are met. They must represent Loblaw’s core values and demonstrate its leadership behaviours.  This role will also be required to customize learning assets to align with specific business needs as well as update learning assets to incorporate feedback from previous deliveries to improve content and design.  The facilitator will also occasionally be required to design and develop leadership content. 

Role Requirements:

  • Facilitate workshops and coaching sessions using various modalities including in-class and virtual
  • Develop or update training based on business priorities and learner feedback (course outlines, slides, participant materials, job aids, quick reference guides, eLearning, video)
  • Work with external training providers (when necessary) to ensure training solutions are consistent with Loblaw standards and meet the needs of the learner
  • Collaborate with internal HR business leaders to assess performance gaps and respond to business needs through creative and innovative experiential programs that enhance leadership capabilities
  • Monitor training through various evaluative methods (completion reports, L1 evaluations, participant stats) to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide ad hoc reports on training progress to monitor effectiveness of training conducted

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education with specialization in training, performance consulting, adult education or equivalent experience in both French and English
  • Bilingual French/English verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience facilitating leadership development training for large organizations, designing and developing learning solutions for adult learners including:
    • Skilled facilitator – you listen more than you tell
    • Agile and perceptive – able to pick up concepts and materials quickly
    • Learner centric – able to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
    • Responsive – able to flex style and delivery to adapt to learners' needs
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and shifting priorities
  • Self-disciplined to work independently
  • Ability to communicate with all colleagues up, down and across the organization
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively to influence/integrate disparate groups toward a common goal
  • Ability to demonstrates Loblaw’s culture and core values on a consistent basis
  • Ability to adapt to and work with Learning Management systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Coaching certification is an asset
  • May require occasional travel
