We are looking for a Data Engineer Intern to join our team of data engineering and analytics experts. The hire will be responsible for assisting in the creation and architecture of our data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Java, Python, SQL technologies. The ideal candidate should have a fundamental understanding of application development and cloud computing. The Data Engineer will be supporting our Data Architects and Data Analysts on various data initiatives.

Learning Opportunities:

• Build a Data Platform and services with the latest Cloud technologies on GCP
• Build end-to-end Data Pipelines supporting data ingestion, data transformations, and delivery.
• Build data controls, metadata services, and supervising UI dashboards.
• Gain experience with CI/CD automation tools such as GitLab
• Develop Data and Software Engineering skills with hands-on development opportunities in Python, Java, SQL, and Javascript.
• Develop communication and presentation skills. Improve your problem-solving skills

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast pace environment
• Currently studying Math/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Systems Design Engineering/Software Engineering
• Knowledge and Experience with Linux, Python or Java & SQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to participate in the 12 months internship program
