Role Mandate:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Asset Protection, the Director is responsible for sourcing, implementing, and executing large scale rollouts of new asset protection strategic technologies. The Director serves as subject matter on a broad range of existing and emerging physical security technologies. The Director is accountable of the organizations strategic physical security plan and regularly liaisons with suppliers, vendors, industry peers and attends the necessary industry trade shows.

Accountabilities:

  • Set and implement the enterprise-wide strategic physical security strategy
  • Pioneer solutions and innovative physical security technology techniques to safeguard our assets.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities using technology.
  • Integrate risk concepts into critical initiatives and planning.
  • Ensure proper vendor identification and budgeting to support the corporate security initiatives.
  • Execute large scale rollouts, while maintaining budgets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build and strengthen physical security programs, create business cases, implement, and deliver on initiatives with agility.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking with ability to explore unique challenges and find creative solutions.  
  • Identify and handle any potential risks of the infrastructure, escalating when appropriate
  • Provide ongoing updates to AP management team on solutions and project rollouts.
  • Attend seminars and workshops to review new technology in the industry.
  • Travel to our retail stores with the AP operational team to provide physical security support/guidance.

Role Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of dynamic leadership experience in Physical Security with extensive knowledge of physical security technology.
  • Exceptional communications and relationship building skills, effective at building trust.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and effectively manage resources.
  • Strong management and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills.
  • Experience writing procedures, preparing presentations and business cases.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel frequently (Domestic) and occasionally trans-border.
