Why is this role important?

Loblaw’s Commercial Real Estate team manages all real estate matters including overseeing over 2,585 leases for the Loblaw Companies’ locations, including Loblaw, No Frills, Fortinos and Shoppers Drug Mart stores. Your responsibilities will include dealing with commercial lease renewals, amendments and extensions, sub-leases, and all other related ancillary documents, and providing general support to the business on leasing and real estate matters. Liaising between different business groups and departments within Loblaw, you will need to employ a dynamic work ethic. Reporting to the Senior Law Clerk, this role will be located at its head office in Brampton, however, there is flexibility to work partially from home and in other Weston Companies’ offices in the GTA.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of leasing experience gained with a major law firm or corporation. General commercial real estate experience as well as experience with title searches will also be seen as an asset but not a requirement. In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have exceptional written and communication skills, be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and take initiative.


L’équipe de l’immobilier commercial de Loblaw gère toutes les questions liées à l’immobilier, y compris la supervision de plus de 2,585 baux pour les emplacements de Les Compagnies Loblaw Limitée, y compris les magasins Loblaw, No Frills, Fortinos et Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix. Vos responsabilités comprennent le renouvellement des baux commerciaux, les modifications et les prolongations, les sous-baux et tous les autres documents connexes, ainsi que le soutien général à l’entreprise en matière de location et d’immobilier. En assurant la liaison entre les différents groupes d’affaires et départements de Loblaw, vous devrez adopter une éthique de travail dynamique. Relevant de l’auxiliaire juridique principal, ce poste sera situé à son siège social à Brampton, mais il est possible de travailler partiellement à partir de la maison et dans les autres bureaux de Weston de la région du Grand Toronto.

Le candidat idéal possède 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en location auprès d’un important cabinet d’avocats ou d’une grande société. L’expérience générale dans le domaine de l’immobilier commercial ainsi que l’expérience dans la recherche de titres seront également considérées comme un atout, mais non comme une exigence. Afin de réussir dans ce rôle, vous devrez posséder des aptitudes exceptionnelles pour la communication orale et écrite, être organisé, minutieux et avoir la capacité d’effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois, d’établir des priorités et de prendre des initiatives.
