Vendor Analyst Role

The Vendor Analyst role is responsible for supporting the day to day relationships with a set of assigned CPG vendors along side the senior manager. The ideal candidate will have some experience with CPG client management and experience working with marketing intelligence and consumer insights data, with a deep understanding of Loyalty.  You will also support the business development efforts for data monetization.

What You'll Do

  • Help manage vendor relations by executing special and targeted promotional offers on the PC Optimum app
  • Own the tracking and execution for special offer creation, advise on target audience, keying in Eagle Eye, monitoring performance and getting sign-off from internal support teams
  • Lead vendor meetings and communications related to offer performance analysis and ongoing vendor management
  • Work with category, marketing, media, legal, operations to plan vendor promotions, manage timelines, and advise of any key updates
  • Manage approved vendor changes to the targeted offer program
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on vendor performance, offer tracking, business metrics
  • Source and compile key metrics for contract preparation process
  • Provide pricing quotes to vendors for both PC Optimum and Loblaw Data Insights Analytics (LDIA) Tool
  • Conduct monthly financial tracking of points spent, billed and money outstanding
  • Continuously look to improve processes through collaboration, analytics, and documentation
  • Participate in key PC Optimum enterprise wide events and new sell opportunities through development, execution, analytics

What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a reporting or analyst role
  • Proven analytics skills: conceptualizing, analyzing, deriving insights from data, and designing an execution plan to derive results from insights
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must
  • Experience as a power user of Business Intelligence software such as Microstrategy, Tableau, and  QlikView
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders in writing and in person
  • Initiative to suggest process or report improvements
  • Extremely well organized
  • Experience in Category Management, and/or Shopper & Consumer Insights roles or experience as a service provider to these functions
  • Relevant software industry, Nielsen (consulting, product, sales support and/or service delivery function), is ideal
  • Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued
  • Should be a self-starter who is able to own projects and come up with creative solutions
