Overview: Work with Loblaw Companies and the franchisee community to establish regulatory compliance reporting protocols. Work with Franchise operations and other stakeholders, to communicate standards to the franchise store network.
Responsibilities:
· Establish minimum standards for Building Code and Fire Code compliance by franchisees.
· Communicate and track building code regulatory compliance issues for franchise stores.
· Support franchisee with repair works and capital rehabilitation programs for life safety and building protection systems.
· Build a strong relationship with the franchisee and the franchisor
· Support the franchisee and provide guidance on contractor sourcing
· Develop presentations to educate retail franchisee businesses on building and fire code requirements.
· Inform in a constructive fashion regulatory non-compliant issues to Franchisee and bring closure to the issues
· Respond to franchisees on store maintenance issues and connect them to the appropriate corporate resources as required to correct the issues.
· Establish reporting protocols to the Franchisee community (in the form of check lists)
Qualifications:
· 5-7 years retail maintenance experience
· Post-secondary education in Engineering
· Architectural or engineering background that relates to property/facilities maintenance management in the supermarket industry is an asset.
· Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Excel/ Word) with an aptitude to learn new programs.
· Detail oriented; strong analytical and organizational
· Extensive travel is required within Regions; valid driver’s license is required.
· Extended hours plus availability 24/7 (evenings, weekends and holidays).
· Work well under pressure in a challenging environment.
