Our ideal candidate for the Senior Manager, Finance position will be reporting to the Director, Finance. This position is responsible for being the key contact on financials relating to third party operations and the execution of major capital projects within the Supply Chain network. You will join a dedicated and motivated team with exposure to Warehousing, Logistics and Replenishment.

Key Responsibilities /Job Duties:

  • Partner with third party operators to lead Supply Chain Finance through periodic forecasting and annual budget cycles, including all analysis, reporting, and consolidation
  • Provide guidance in preparation and analysis of senior management reporting packages including enhancements to ensure optimal reporting format
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with proven ability to deliver objectives on time and within budget
  • Business case modeling including post performance
  • Provide guidance and direction in budgeting and forecasting and anticipate financial implications of a constantly changing environment
  • Keep appropriate individuals informed and up to date (team members/Senior Management) on status of financial information and projects
  • Capital Expenditure analysis and reporting to Senior Management
  • Drive collaborative cultural change and awareness by building working relationships based on trust, and improving collaboration within portfolios
  • Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives
  • Review results and drive change to fix underlying issues
  • Manage business expectations, and setting priorities as appropriate
  • Analyze, identify, and recommend process improvement initiatives and systems modifications to increase productivity and efficiency within the department
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key strategic initiatives as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as required

Qualifications and Competencies

A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate, supply chain and/or retail will be considered an asset

The preferred candidate will also have:

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years' finance or accounting experience
  • Professional Finance Designations such as CPA; or MBA preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization
  • Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Results Oriented and Critical Thinking skills
  • Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel (pivot table, v-look up and creating formulas)
  • Familiarity with SAP and MicroStrategy will be an asset
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
