Senior Product Designer, Brampton, ON

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll work with product managers and tech leads on the Vendor Insights portal experience. You will deliver experiences that our vendors find useful, convenient, and would recommend to their colleagues. You will work in a matrix team with a strong culture, connecting with team members across the organization to drive the overall success of Loblaw’s vendor portal.

What You'll Do:

  • Problem Discovery, Definition & Goal Setting: You’ll collaborate to ensure that problems, initiatives, and outcomes are well-defined and documented based on objective data, and your work is aligned around clearly defined problem statements and goals.
  • Interaction Design: Your focus will be in the interplay between words, visuals, space, time, and behaviours of digital user interfaces. You will build clear visual representation of all concepts and ideas to make the outcome visually appealing and more intuitive to the end user.
  • Art Direction & Visual Design: You’ll design the high-fidelity interfaces that we build. You understand how to convey visual personality, tone, look and feel, and the flourish that is appropriate to your product.
  • Design Systems Thinking: You’ll ensure that solutions apply a validated design system, and use or iterate on existing patterns whenever possible. You’ll identify undefined or inconsistent patterns and propose scalable solutions.
  • Design Research, Validation & Iteration: You will tackle research activities, review the performance of your work post-launch and continue to optimize based on data.
  • Inclusive Design: You have a base understanding of AODA design requirements and can apply knowledge of inclusive design ‘grey areas’ that will improve our products for everyone.

What You Bring

  • Ability to frame problems and opportunities that address customer or business needs
  • Approaches to problem solving and handling / balancing conflicting team member needs, as well as complex business operational needs and constraints
  • Key performance indicators you used to measure the effectiveness of your solutions
  • Ability to use design as a tool to uncover what questions to ask, what solutions to explore, and how to define and measure success
  • Experience designing complex applications or software in the B2B space
  • Experience designing and improving user interface of business intelligence products
