Senior Software Developer, Brampton, ON 

In this role you will work with a team of self-motivated and well-respected developers. You will work in an Agile environment where you are tasked with the technical design, development, and code analysis of next-generation applications within the CPMS Team and the connected ecosystem. Ideally, you are a Senior Developer who is a natural communicator, engaging peers in technical discussion and presenting recommendations and technology-based insights. You would enjoy the challenge of applying your expertise in transforming one of our enterprise applications using the very best tools, technologies, and platforms available in the market.

What You’ll Do:  

• As part of our team, you will participate in project planning sessions, building solution proposals, and implementing complex innovative features  
• Demonstrate understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
• Transform requirements from functional designs, designer mock-ups, and wireframes, into technical designs and front and back-end code.
• Maintain our high-quality code base by performing code reviews, improving test coverage, automation, general code quality, and maintain associated documentation 
• Identifying and diagnosing deficiencies related to systems, coding, and infrastructure, and recommending creative solutions for mitigation 

What you Bring:  

• Education in Computer Science or Software Engineering including 2+ years of hands-on development experience in PowerBuilder, Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL & Pro C programming language
• Experience in developing Solutions in PowerBuilder
• Excellent proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL queries, SQL Trace/Explain plans, SQL performance tuning, Database Triggers, PL/SQL stored procedure and functions, setting Oracle parameters, and options
• Experience in Unix and Linux Shell scripting
• Experience in developing solution using client-server, three-tier, n- tier architecture
