Senior Specialist, Teradata DBA,   Brampton, ON

In this role, you will be part of the Teradata DBA team committed to improving Teradata experience for our user community. You will be working on operational aspects of Teradata database, ensuring system stability, and improved end-user experience. Ideally, you are a Teradata Database Administrator that has strong technical know-how of Teradata systems and have a strong developmental background

What You’ll Do:

• Work hands-on multi-Terabyte Teradata systems from an Operational DBA perspective
• Work with the various team to identify, review and implement performance enhancement recommendations.
• Work with the development teams to ensure compliance to development and performance standards.
• Provide second-level on-call support in case the Ops teams need help.

What you Bring:

• Hands on experience on Teradata systems, including experience with DBA tools like DataMover, Viewpoint, etc.
• Experience working with Teradata support teams to sort out system issues.
• Strong inter-personal, communication and technical skills to deal with multi-faceted teams.
