Sr. Technical Project Manager, Loyalty, Toronto, ON

Loblaw Technology and Analytics is actively seeking to hire a Sr. Technical Project Manager who will support the delivery of technical solutions integral to the success of PC Optimum, one of Canada’s 10 most recognized brands. You will play a key role as a Project Manager with accountability that spans the entire delivery life cycle of our Loyalty platform and application solutions.

Our Sr. Technical Project Manager position is a people leader / technology delivery role that influences how we deliver key projects at Loblaw Technology. The role spans all phases of solution delivery from Discovery, to Solution Assessment, Development, Test and Delivery. You are responsible for not only ensuring that our Loyalty projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-plan, but also ensuring collaboration and enablement among our cross-functional teams. You will manage a technical portfolio of projects that span across multi-disciplinary teams (both internal to Loblaw Technology and externally with the broader enterprise and Vendors).

The successful candidate can look forward to being a key contributor in assisting Loblaw navigate a rapidly modernizing technology landscape, help solve new and exciting technology challenges, while continually developing and honing your high-demand skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a portfolio of technical projects; ensuring delivery to plan, budget and scope.
  • Establish integrated project plans in compliance with defined project management methodology, actively lead the plan, and provide weekly status updates that accurately reflect the health of projects.
  • Partner with Technology and Business stakeholders to define business outcomes and develop technology solutions
  • Foster relationship management, stakeholder communication, and management of cross team dependencies
  • Lead day-to-day Scrums, build and supervise detailed delivery plans, resolve issues and risks, and communicate status and priorities through succinct updates.

What You Bring

  • Deep technical project management experience in leading a team, and fostering collaboration within a team
  • Superior interpersonal skills including ability to lead cross-functional teams in making trade-offs that balance business and technology needs
  • Hands on experience in Agile methodologies and in using JIRA and Confluence to synchronize sprint management
  • Working experience with data analytics, and web and mobile technologies, especially as it relates to Customer journey data.
  • You are a proactive, and strategic problem solver with proven ability to drive actions and ownership
