The Specialist, Labour Relations for Market Stores in Ontario, supports the execution of labour relations strategies in partnership with the LR Managers; as well as the implementation of Company policies, programs, and procedures.

What you’ll do:

  • Advise and provide support the business and HR Partners on employee relations matters as they pertain to labour relations, the interpretation of the Collective Agreement and applicable employment legislation.

  • Ensure effective communication of existing/new policies and standards.

  • Establish and maintain constructive communication and effective working relationships with HR, Management, and designated union representatives.

  • Coordinate and conduct meetings involving HR, union & store management.

  • Conduct training seminars as the need arises.

  • Interpret relevant legislation (Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.) and provide advice and counseling.

  • Support LR Managers with the preparation and review of their arbitration files and make appropriate recommendations to HR partners and management.

  • Provide analysis and necessary preparation for the collective bargaining process

  • Assist LR Managers by responding to applicable grievances issued on behalf of management and/or franchisees (written and verbal communication).

  • Coordinate and participate actively in the labour relations committee with HR and the union.

What you’ll need:

  • 2-3 years of Labour Relations experience

  • Strong digital literacy required in MS Office

  • Retail experience considered an asset

  • Strong Organizational and Interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Le spécialiste, Relations de travail pour les magasins du marché en Ontario, appuie l’exécution de stratégies de relations de travail en partenariat avec les gestionnaires des relations de travail, ainsi que la mise en œuvre des politiques, des programmes et des procédures de l’entreprise.

Tâches:

  • Conseiller et soutenir les partenaires d’affaires et les partenaires des RH sur les questions de relations avec les employés en ce qui concerne les relations de travail, l’interprétation de la convention collective et la législation du travail applicable.

  • Assurer une communication efficace des politiques et normes existantes/nouvelles.

  • Établir et maintenir une communication constructive et des relations de travail efficaces avec les RH, la direction et les représentants syndicaux désignés.

  • Coordonner et organiser des réunions impliquant les RH, le syndicat et la direction du magasin.

  • Organiser des séminaires de formation au besoin.

  • Interpréter les lois pertinentes (Loi sur les normes d’emploi, Loi sur les relations de travail, Loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail, etc.) et fournir des conseils.

  • Aider les gestionnaires des Relations du travail à préparer et à examiner leurs dossiers d’arbitrage et à formuler des recommandations appropriées aux partenaires et à la direction des RH.

  • Fournir l’analyse et la préparation nécessaire au processus de négociation collective

  • Aider les gestionnaires des Relations du travail en répondant aux griefs pertinents présentés au nom de la direction ou des franchisés (communications écrites et verbales).

  • Coordonner et participer activement au comité des relations de travail avec les RH et le syndicat.

Compétences nécessaires:

  • 2 à 3 ans d’expérience en relations de travail

  • Solides compétences numériques requises dans MS Office

  • Expérience de la vente au détail considérée comme un atout

  • Solides compétences organisationnelles et interpersonnelles

  • Capacité à hiérarchiser et à gérer efficacement le temps

  • Excellentes compétences de communication (verbale et écrite)
