The Sr. Marketing Manager for Control Brands will lead initiatives for the enterprise-wide category accelerator programs and affiliate brands, no name® and Life Brand®.  The encompasses strategy development through to execution, requiring collaboration with category leaders and counterparts within Divisional Teams, Loblaw Brands, Loblaw Media and Loblaw Agency. The Sr. Manager oversees a brand marketing team to drive seamless delivery of highly visible campaigns/programs. They are accountable for the growth of their portfolios, which may include an entire category or a collection of critical brand campaigns.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy: Leading brand strategy informed by a deep understanding of customer insights, brand positioning and business/divisional objectives.

  • Campaign Planning, Development & Execution: Aligning with annual plan objectives, lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns for brand and category initiatives. Key point of contact for cross-functional counterparts (e.g., LBL, Divisional teams, PR, Loblaw Media, Loblaw Digital, and External partners), facilitating development, review and approval of creative inclusive of critical path and milestone management. ​

  • Campaign/Brand Reporting & Learning: Identify clear program KPIs and lead program reporting and assessment against those measures. Following program completion, lead post-mortem analysis to distill learnings and inform future program development. 

  • People Leadership: Manage team performance against marketing portfolio and campaign objectives and KPIs through mentorship and professional development​

  • Partnership & Collaboration: Acts as an advisor to category counterparts, collaborating across the Marketing organization and with other key partners to drive best practices, shared learnings, and efficiencies ​

  • Innovation: Collaborates with partners such as Loblaw Agency, Loblaw Media and external partners to incorporate leading edge, innovative marketing strategies across paid, earned and owned channels, to drive relevant and best in class campaigns.​

  • Financial Performance: Accountable for ensuring the marketing budget is managed in accordance with best practices​

  • Annual Planning: Supports leadership in the development of annual marketing plans​

Key Skills & Capabilities:

  • Brand strategy & positioning​

  • Developing marketing insights from data & analytics​

  • Knowledge of a CPG environment​

  • People management​

  • Budget management & financial planning​

  • Strong knowledge of leading digital marketing practices​

  • Marketing analytics & technology​

Experience:

  • 8 years of experience​

  • 4-5 years in brand manager role, managing marketing campaigns​
