To help define where and how we work, CTC has introduced Hybrid Workplace Personas. The Business Analyst position is categorized as a Connector, which means that the incumbent will be working with a variety of colleagues and partners to achieve business outcomes that require a mixed use of virtual and CTC campus presence.

Regional Operations is the sustaining business owner and the liaison between CTC and the Third Party Logistics (3PL) facility operators, and is responsible for working with the 3PL to ensure operational effectiveness in the 3PL DCs. The Regional Operations Team supports the 3PLs in physical and process improvements to help them meet and exceed service level and budget targets.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with 3PL operators
  • Work closely on a daily basis with 3PL management and internal cross-functional groups to resolve immediate or upcoming issues and target process improvement, including increased productivity
  • Critically assess internal and external processes in terms of impacts, cost and benefit, financial implications, risk, cross-functional dependencies and critical success factors
  • The incumbent will be expected to analyze, explain results, and investigate trends in order provide insight to our business partners, management team, on strategic projects or in other analytical areas.
  • Support strategic decision-making by identifying additional opportunities – determine business processes improvement initiatives and decision making (e.g. DC operations, Transportation effectiveness, Planning processes); and documenting potential benefits
  • Conduct process mapping and business analysis
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Enhance on-going reporting to provide visibility and benefit operations
  • Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) prior to submission to 3PL
  • Travel to 3PL locations to support operational or project objectives as required

What you bring

  • Working knowledge of Canadian Tire Supply Chain processes and systems
  • Demonstrated flexibility and strong commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Good understanding of CTC policies and approaches to issues such as inventory management, product flow priorities, network design, scheduling and transportation practices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Working knowledge of developing reports in .Net is considered an asset
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities to deal with different levels of management are expected
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Degree in Applied Science, Business, Engineering or combination of similar discipline and experience

Assets

  • Knowledge of Distribution Centre operations
  • Knowledge of PPA Tables and other data sources
  • Knowledge of material handling systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of DCCS, IMS, AOM, JDA, and Yard Smart
  • Bilingual is an asset
