Primary responsibility is focused on maintenance, repair & overhaul of DC production equipment, including towline systems, ASRS cranes, automated conveyor systems, mobile equipment/Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and other miscellaneous production equipment. Key deliverables are for implementation of planned and corrective maintenance scheduled work to improve asset life and for rapid and effective servicing of breakdown repairs. The other responsibility is lead role on building services, ensuring proper upkeep of building fabric, managing applicable building-related capital projects, supervising repairs with internal staff and contractors, and participating in Supply Chain major capital projects as building contact.
The successful applicant ensures staff have all the required skills and tools and are working on the right things at the right times. The daily focus is on health & safety, quality, process and productivity. This coordinator will ensure his team is trained to required technical and safety standards for their individual roles and meet or exceed CT standards for H&S safe working practices while working on equipment.
This position coordinates and supervises the execution of the maintenance work plan for Building Services team when their Coordinator is absent and, as required, works with the Maintenance Planning team to schedule related or carryover work to the shift maintenance teams to ensure compliance to the plan.

This Coordinator works with the Planning Group to ensure mobile equipment repairs are maintained and executed per plan across the maintenance shifts. The Coordinator also provides current performance characteristics of mobile fleet to assist in repair/replace optioning and provides long-term outlook/strategy for building services upkeep and upgrades.
The incumbent will keep the Maintenance Manager and key stakeholders informed of the major issues and activities but due to the nature of the department may have to make independent decisions and take actions in order to accomplish the objectives. They will also ensure Canadian Tire's principles, guidelines and standards where defined are adhered followed.
The incumbent may be required to assist in overtime coverage for other coordinators for weekends or other times when the day shift coordinator on the opposite end of the week is absent for vacation, training etc. and no other coverage options are available.
