The primary responsibility of the Visibility Team Lead is to provide leadership and direction to a team of Execution Analysts. The Team Lead will assist team members in executing current business processes and in developing new processes to meet changing business requirements. This position liaises with functional areas within Transportation, Operations Planning and other Supply Chain areas. The Team Lead will ensure that stores and carriers are provided, on a timely basis, the best possible delivery schedule and status information through the Visibility Team. The Team Lead will also lead a sub set of Execution Analysts under the Vendor & Rail Execution team which help monitor, communicate, and mitigate execution failures for inbound flow from domestic vendors and offshore vendors through Rail providers into the DCs. The Visibility Team Lead will work with internal departments and management to evaluate, prioritize and implement the potential enhancements identified to tools or processes.This position requires a candidate with strong people, business, organizational and analytical skills. The dynamic environment in which this position works requires solid knowledge and work experience in Transportation as well as Supply Chain activities.

Shifts: Primarily Monday to Friday (shifts/availability as required to support operations)

The Visibility Team Lead position is categorized as a Roamer, which means that the incumbent can successfully complete their role objectives virtually and are not required to be present on a CTC campus unless they choose to do so.

What you’ll do

  • Provide guidance to team members regarding operational and departmental objectives
  • Provide clear direction and prioritize work within the team
  • Assign tasks, provide feedback and coaching to team members on a daily basis
  • Create (semi-annually) staffing schedule, ensuring fair shift rotation and adequate coverage across all days / shifts
  • Provide input and recommendations on business processes and/or technical issues
  • Promote and support implementation of process, procedural and technological changes
  • Identify process and systems improvement opportunities and provide subject matter expertise and change initiatives
  • Lead department projects and identify required resources to complete on time
  • Compile data/reports on specific stores and ensure deliveries adhere, within a reasonable tolerance, to the delivery schedule
  • Work with stores, operational staff and carriers as required to address pressing delivery issues
  • Monitor quality of Visibility Tool data as it relates to Distribution Centre (DC) / consolidation facility departures and store deliveries
  • Prepare and present project and departmental activity updates
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders

What you bring

  • Post-Secondary degree in Applied Science, Business, Engineering, similar discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in building and developing teams
  • Minimum 3 years of cross-functional Supply Chain experience
  • Self-initiating, highly motivated individual who drives for results within a collaborative team environment
  • Passionate, influential leader that can build a credible roadmap, delivers results and can work cross functionally to meet CTC goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to positively interact and communicate to all levels of management and staff
  • Experience in working in a collaborative work environment to manage variances to expectations (in other words working with Stores and Dealers)
  • Ability to work closely with peers to review and enhance processes improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively organize and communicate information
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks, setting and tracking own milestones, and meeting deadlines
  • Experience in day-to-day operational execution
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and schedule work effectively
  • Team player with strong customer focus
  • Well developed analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Able to deal with a dynamic and changing environment
  • Proven experience with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
