This is a Contract position in Brampton, ON posted May 24, 2023.

This position is for Massiv Die-Form, a division of Cosma International.

Key Responsibilities

•    Occasional onsite visits with customers to collect lessons learned and demonstrate latest process improvements for management of Checking Fixture, EOAT, Laser Fixtures, and Blank Dies
•    Host Scope of Work review with Customer to gather basic information and expectations for RFQ package including auditing customer CAD data
•    Construct and submit RFQ packages to suppliers to gather quotations 
•    Utilize resources within MDF MMG group to evaluate vendor capacity for load management  
•    Award auxiliary items to suppliers using multi-quote/multi-round/best market value negotiation
•    Host supplier kick off meeting to review scope of work (SOW) with Massiv and Vendor
•    Monitor/Audit engineering level releases at Massiv as per part history
•    Inspect and approve design concept including preliminary to 100% phase based on customer feedback
•    Address and resolve technical issues found during tooling design
•    Track meeting minutes and follow up on open design items
•    Audit supplier timing and report Auxiliary status weekly to Massiv PM via MS Teams meeting and email
•    Populate respective fields on MDF’s DQEP system and attend DQEP reviews
•    Solely responsible for maintaining the AUX timing chart and work folders on S: drive
•    Audit buy off books and provide final shipping approval of Aux Items once all open issues closed
•    Arrange MDF personnel for buy off/inspection or attend local/oversea buy offs at supplier facility
•    Provide necessary DIRT info to MDF Shipping Dept to organize shipment of oversea Aux Items
•    Provide Vendors and Purchasing with feedback on AUX items via “Supplier Feedback” form
•    Support Massiv Program Managers in contacting vendors for DCN/Eng Changes if requested
•    Responsible to maintain and improve QAS policies, procedures and work instructions
•    Maintain customer/supplier standards data base
•    Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures and work instructions
•    Perform other reasonable duties as required
•    Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees – Addendum

 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    Tool and Die Certification or comparable experience within Automotive Manufacturing.
•    Good communication skills, attendance and performance required.
