The Facilities Lead assists in the day-to-day Facilities operations ensuring the safe, timely completion of work orders, daily repairs, purchase order entry and work completion receipt and ensures that all regulations of the department are adhered to.



  • Must have schooling in the field of Facilities from an accredited college/university or 2-3 years’ of work related experience in a similar role and industry.
  • Working Knowledge of HVAC, Chillers, Compressors, Electrical Systems, Construction, Health & Safety and Environmental and industry.
  • Strong CAD/Computer skills including the Office 365 suite of programs.
  • Good directional and organizational skills.
  • Strong English in both written aspects as well as oral communication.
  • Physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Able to support evenings/weekends as required.
  • Supports and maintains 5S programs in the workplace.
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers and promote the “Team” concept.
  • Ability to travel between plants as required (License and access to vehicle a must).



  • Complete Preventative Maintenance, repairs, modifications, and installations as required.
  • Issuing of requisitions and timely receipt of PO’s.
  • Manage projects as assigned at both plants.
  • Understand, maintain, and utilize a CMMS work order system to follow up on projects and day to day duties.
  • Lead by example, support facilities team in daily activities to ensure adherence to Standard Work.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results. Take the initiative to see that things get completed.
  • Assist and make recommendations for job planning.
  • Assist in ensuring quality and efficiencies are met.
  • Assist in training as required.

  • Perform all duties and promote themselves in a manner that reflects the Team Leader. expectations and Magna’s Employee Charter.
  • Understand team members’ needs and accommodate for their best performance.
  • Support all the facilities related issue after hours. Coordinate with Facilities Manager any issues that may arise.
  • Take ownership of weekend schedule in conjunction with Manager (Able to work extended or flexible hours as required.)
  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills and is results oriented.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of up to 30 lbs.
  • Has an exemplary attitude towards housekeeping, safety, and company policies.
  • Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and workplace safety.

  • Other duties as assigned.
