Work within the divisional team to focus on the application, implementation and operations management use of Industry 4.0 technology tools including the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data Analytics, Defect Detection Visioning Systems and Augmented Reality. Utilize knowledge of mechanical engineering, product design, materials, tooling and production capabilities and quality control standards. Champion lean initiatives throughout the organization to improve effectiveness, eliminate waste and defects.
**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Structures Heart Lake facility located in Brampton, ON**
• Lead the Industry 4.0 solutions implementation for MEVS driving standardization in line with the corporate platform.
• Participate in meetings to bring together shop floor and manufacturing with IT during implementation.
• Creating long-term and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines for projects in Industry 4.0 manufacturing transformations.
• Responsible for analyzing the scope of work and assisting in the development of manpower plan requirements to complete projects within time constraints defined in the project timeline.
• Making effective decisions and recommendations to leadership when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project.
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
• Works with the Engineering and IT Manager to create project timelines for design tasks from critical project milestones.
• Responsible for leading cross-functional team projects.
• Drive 4.0 collaboration within MEVS to leverage value from the organization.
• Stay connected with the industry to ensure that the best-in-class industry technology is reflected in platform and product strategic roadmaps.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or three years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 integration.
• Proven leader.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Strong project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment issues.
• Working knowledge of kaizen and/or lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
