Millwright – Afternoons

The Millwright is primarily responsible to service, maintain, and test production equipment. This position will support production by troubleshooting problems, and by making repairs and system improvements (optimization).

**The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Structures Heart Lake facility located in Brampton, ON**

• Analyze, repair, and troubleshoot machinery
• Analyze, repair, and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and their associated components
• Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area, performing all the duties in a safe manner in accordance with safety policies
• Design, modify, and update related schematics;
• Optimization of machine functionality for uptime, cycle time, and energy conservation;
• Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety;
• Assist the maintenance department planning of PM activity scheduling;
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence;
• Filling out daily shift report.
• Services, maintains, repairs, installs and tests new or existing equipment and verifies conformance to specifications
• Perform other duties as may be required.

• Certified Industrial Millwright with a valid license
• Minimum two years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or a minimum five years of experience in an industrial environment
• Minimum five years experience as a Millwright
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Able to operate a variety of machine tools MIG/TIG welders, Lathe, Milling machine and hand tools
• Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job
