Outage Management Specialist

Requisition Id: 24709Department: Control Centre DistrictOverviewPembina’s Sherwood Park Control Center, is recruiting for a Specialist, Outage Management to join the team.

As part of Pembina’s Pipeline Division.Reporting to the Sr.

Manager of the SPCC (Sherwood Park Control Center), the Specialist’s primarily responsible to Coordinator Capacity Management, and will coordinate planned system outages and maintenance activities with impact on capacity to delivery optimized throughout within Pembina’s systems.

The Specialist will also act as a liaison between Pembina business unit groups and scheduling teams to ensure all outages are planned, coordinated and optimized resulting in optimal achievable capacity.

This role will mature processes and practices, providing clear direction of ongoing system optimization and effectiveness.

Proven communication and negotiation skills, ability to effectively plan, coordinate and organize would ensure success in this role.Summary of ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include but not be limited to:Maintain the Pembina Outage Management System amongst all internal stakeholders;Consistently demonstrate a thorough understanding and adherence to Pembina’s Safety Management Systems;Consistently support Pembina’s safety culture of ‘Zero by Choice’ and the Life Saving Rules;Complete the Pembina Learning System (PLS) training requirements;Identify and drive change to procedures, processes and/or equipment to improve throughput efficiency and safety;Lead coordination of product movement optimization activities including maintenance & integrity activities;Work closely with Logistics, Control Centre, Scheduling, Hydraulics Engineering, Integrity Engineering and Operations with focus on safely optimizing throughout on the Pembina system;Compilation and execution planning of outage requests from various business groups and scheduling downtime synergistically to optimize for all business units;Facilitate Quarterly meetings with stakeholders across Pembina to coordinate outages and report on KPI’s;Maintain communication with district and BU Outage representatives to ensure cross BU alignment and minimize pipeline downtime;Liaise with all Pembina Business Units to ensure all stakeholders are engaged in pipeline planning and activities;Oversee the planning and coordination of product movement schedules to facilitate maintenance activities for all pipeline systems;Develop, maintain and recommend changes to processes, procedures, capacity targets and Key Performance Indicators;Support Scheduling activities; andParticipate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.QualificationsA technical diploma or professional designation with minimum 7 years of related industry experience;Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complexities;Presentation skills to deliver informational sessions to groups;Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple stakeholder outage requests;Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgement and fact based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions to optimize pipeline system outages;Strong interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team;Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Outlook and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications;Demonstrated project management skills; andKnowledge of concepts, practices and procedures related to pipeline system planning and optimization.This position is considered Safety Sensitive so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
