Virtual Event Producer (Contract)

The gig.
The Virtual Events Producer role is an exciting new role which will start as an 4 month contract with the possibility for it to turn to a full time role at Q4.
You will learn about all components of the Event Producer role and be responsible for the real-time production of client webcasts, as well as updating and archiving webcasts, client communication and other support as assigned.  We are looking for someone that is highly detail oriented, technically savvy, a critical thinker, very organized and interested in the production of online events. In addition to the above, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills necessary for corresponding with C-Suite level executives.
This is a great role for you if you are a recent graduate and have a keen interest in developing your skills in areas that include, but are not limited to: account management, client communication and digital event production.
Note: This role is a 4 month contract that is expected to start in March 2021.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creation and production of client webcasts
  • Uploading resources and materials to webcast console
  • Archiving webcasts post production
  • Proactive issue reporting
  • Escalation of issues to appropriate resources when required


  • University or College Degree in Media, Communications, Business or equivalent (in progress or completed)
  • Working knowledge of PC and/or Mac-based environments
  • Experience using Audacity or similar audio editing software an asset
  • Technical, Mobile Apps and Financial experience are a bonus!


  • Prior experience in a client facing role
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate instructions and direction clearly and effectively
  • Ability to handle a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Events background – media or digital events an asset (such as webcasting/webinars)
