Join us for an exciting opportunity within Loblaws Supply Chain, a dynamic area of our business that is responsible for delivering products from our distribution centers across the country to nearly 2,500 grocery and pharmacy retail stores nationally, and ultimately the homes of millions of Canadians.  As a Sr. Network Scheduler you will collaborate with colleagues in Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation and Distribution Centers and responsible for the setup, development and maintenance of SAP Network Schedules across our national distribution network.  If you are an analytical problem solver, knowledgeable in supply chain operations and systems, and have a passion for customers and training, consider applying! 

What you’ll do:

  • Through collaboration with Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation and Distribution Centers, you will be responsible for the setup, development and maintenance of SAP Network Schedules across our national distribution network
  • Communicate SAP Network Schedule changes to all parties (retail, warehouse, transportation), articulating operational impacts in all areas utilizing retail communication tools/portals
  • Manage SAP order flows from pending orders to downstream flows through SC operational processes, ensuring schedule changes reflect expected outcomes
  • Working closely with both SC Operations and Retail Management, responsible for maintaining retail holiday schedules, new store setups and store closures/flips, incorporating SC operational requirements and changes to retail operating schedules
  • Support new store setup workflows, validating sourcing relationships, transition schedules required for store setups and finalized store schedules
  • Analyze business schedule change requests providing solution insights and feasibility considering geographical factors (store locations), order frequency and impact to Supply Chain Operations
  • Ongoing support and operational insights of special projects, system/operational outages, contingency planning and system implementations
  • Perform a quick evaluation of business impact, network schedule change scope and sourcing relationships
  • Deliver creative scheduling solutions and analysis (MS Excel) aligned with Supply Chain operational and retail capacity

What you’ll need:

  • University or College degree in Supply Chain discipline or related degree
  • 1 – 3 years’ work experience in distribution or retail operations
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities or comfort to learn (training and coaching) 
  • Knowledge of SAP Network Schedules, Transportation Planning and Supply Chain / Retail process flows
  • Ability to collaborate across business units to resolve issues, advance projects and create process improvement strategies
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to interpret metrics into areas of opportunities
  • Ability to work independently with an attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and balance customer needs, working with a sense of urgency
