The successful incumbent is a trusted expert who is insights based and plays a key role in analyzing and executing sourcing strategies aimed at reducing cost, maximizing sales and profitability. This will enable us to unlock value to drive the advancement of enterprise and brand initiatives forward.  Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Loblaw Brand Sourcing, you will be part of a diverse and dynamic team that is innovative, has a passion for our customers, and is motivated by helping Canadians Live Life Well!

  • Supports Loblaw Brand Sourcing Managers in the execution of effective control brand sourcing strategies and collaborates with resources across the business to ensure the control brand sourcing strategies are being met.
  • Prepares detailed analysis and reporting to ensure that control brand sourcing delivers anticipated financial benefits
  • Develops strong working relationships with Category across all Divisions and LBL teams
  • Provide subject matter expertise to Category and Loblaw Brand teams to ensure accurate and timely issue resolution for sourcing activities, cost changes, supply and liability management.
  • Coordinates communications between Loblaw Brands, Category teams and Vendors for both existing and new suppliers.
  • Manages buying timelines and communicates with Supply Chain, Category Management and Loblaw Brands for new listings and delisted products
  • Ensures thorough understanding of control brand standards and guardrails
  • Support Loblaw Brand Sourcing Managers on transactions for Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart along with vendor set up and standard contract execution.
  • For designated LB Pillars, responsible for leading liability management across the divisions, making recommendations to LB Sourcing Managers and facilitating internal and external meetings.
  • Assists with a Loblaw Brand Sourcing and ad hoc projects which are undertaken to improve or develop processes which are important for improved business performance.
  • Projects involve collaboration with resources from across the business and require the incumbent to understand the interdependencies between all parts of the business.
  • Conducts and contributes to research, analysis, project planning, recommendations and other activities on projects designed to evaluate and improve core business processes and supports LB Sourcing Managers on key projects and initiatives as required.

What You'll Need:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Business, marketing or field of study related to the job.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Confident with leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to be innovative and creative.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively source information, obtain approvals, build relationships, and influence to achieve success.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to give and accept constructive feedback
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Taking initiative and problem solving with creative solutions
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
