What is the Opportunity?

Aecon Construction Materials Limited (ACML) is looking for a sales/ logistics coordinator in the materials construction industry. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, as an Inside Sales Coordinator, you will develop and maintain relationships with customers, provide daily assistance, support estimating of aggregates & asphalt and help generate sales.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Supporting aggregate and asphalt quotes to external customers
• Support coordination of yearly price lists and send out to customers
• Take customer requests by phone and email including taking aggregate orders
• Obtaining quotes from vendors as needed
• Act as a liaison to ensure effective communication between scale operators and the distribution team
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers
• Perform month end sales summaries by product/ source and client
• Follow up on customer leads communicated from Sales manager or General Manager
• Assist customers by providing technical solutions
• Build positive relationships with Sales, Operations, Customers, Freight Vendors while promoting customer service focus amongst team members
• Works closely with Outside Sales Representatives to provide a seamless customer experience
• Seek and implement new and innovative ideas to increase service and reduce costs
• Support for logistics when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

• Minimum Grade 12 education (required) with preference for post secondary degree or diploma
• Experience in SAP and Compass preferred
• A strong understanding of MS Excel
• 1 to 2 years related work experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, cooperative interdepartmental relationships
• Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet challenging deadlines
• Proven ability to take initiative
• Valid Driver’s License
